Job scam FAQ
No. Genuine employers never ask you to pay a registration fee, security deposit, training fee, or "refundable" deposit to get hired. Any job message demanding money upfront - by UPI, bank transfer, or gift card - is a scam. Real companies pay you; they do not ask you to pay them.
Almost certainly fake. Scammers copy the logos and offer-letter format of big brands like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Accenture, then ask for a deposit or your Aadhaar/PAN photo. Real HR uses an official company email domain, never a Gmail/Yahoo address or a Telegram/WhatsApp handle, and never charges you. Verify any offer directly on the company careers site or with its official HR line before responding.
Check that the sender email uses the company official domain, not a free Gmail/Yahoo/Outlook address. Confirm the role exists on the company own careers page. Be suspicious of "selected without interview", immediate joining, or pressure to pay or share documents fast. Paste the message into the Recruiter message tab above for an instant deterministic check - we never store your text.
No. "Earn Rs 2000-5000 per day" for liking videos, rating hotels, or completing prepaid tasks is a well-documented scam. Early small payouts build trust, then you are asked to deposit money to unlock bigger earnings - and it disappears. No legitimate employer pays a fixed daily amount for trivial tasks over Telegram.
Act fast. Report the fraud at cybercrime.gov.in or call the national cyber-fraud helpline 1930 as soon as possible - reporting within the first few hours gives the best chance of freezing the transfer. Inform your bank to block the account or reverse the UPI payment, change any shared passwords/OTPs, and keep screenshots of the messages as evidence.
It is completely free and needs no account. The check runs on deterministic pattern rules, not an AI model, and we never store the raw text you paste - only an anonymous verdict count for our safety stats. Your job description or recruiter message stays private.
